Pinnacle Place, House Site Rock Walls/Landscape Works

Contract Description

Large private dwelling on Queenstown Hill requiring 2,000m3 of rock to be blasted & carted to waste.  Extensive rock anchoring and shotcreting of an 8m cut face.  The winning of large rock suitable for landscaping rock wall.  The section stage was earthworks, landscaping, backfill and rock walling in conjunction with the building phase. 

This large house site is at the top of Queenstown Hill overlooking the Queenstown Bay.  The project required the excavation of 2,000m3 of solid rock and extensive rock anchors as earthworks for an expansive private dwelling, set into the site.  The second stage of the project for Base was the landscaping, earthworks and 200m2 of digger stacked rock walling around the house being constructed.  While some stacked rock was on site originally the majority was won through the site excavation and blasting phase by Base and Alpine Drilling.
