Contract Description

​

The Crown Range Road is a 50km alpine pass between Wanaka and the Wakatipu.  It is a ‘special purpose road’ managed by Queenstown Lakes District Council with Transit NZ.  Sections of this road were upgraded, widened & lowered to improve safety, passing & visibility.  Fulton Hogan subcontracted Base to undertake the earthworks to subgrade levels, drainage & guard railing.

• Earthworks & pavement for bitumen & cement stabilisation of three sections of the road.

• Earthworks – cut to waste 5,700.  Import to fill 1,000m3

• Drainage $226,000, 2470m subsoil, culverts etc. 

• Guard railing – 20m
