Tasman Valley Road – Re-Alignment & Seal Extension

Contract Description

The Department of Conservation (DOC) required a 2km section of the Tasman Valley road replaced as many existing sections continually washed out.  The Roading Company subcontracted Base for all earthworks, drainage, culverts & subgrade preparation working out of the Mt Cook Village.

  • 2.14km of road re-alignment & new road construction

  • Earthworks, 6,500m3 cut to waste & fill 

  • Drainage – subsoil 100m 

    • New 1,200mm dia twin culverts & headwalls 

  • Civils – culvert & concrete & railing works 

  • Gravel cartage for The Roading Company 

  • Gravel crushing, pavement finish & surfacing by The Roading Company
